Hello, we are Bobby, Arjen & Henriette.

Together we own BobbyWasHere and we live in Sal Rei - Boa Vista and in Santa Maria - Sal. We have a passion for hospitality, organising, kitesurfing and exotic places. All these aspects come together in BobbyWasHere's mission: to give our guests an unforgettable holiday experience.

What we do

We rent flats, all located within walking distance of the beautiful beaches of Sal and Boa Vista. In everything we do, we make sure our guests have everything they need for a great stay. Upon arrival at the airport or port, our taxi driver will pick you up and take you to your flat. We understand that when you arrive in a new country, you want to know what is and isn't allowed on the island and where to be. We will give you the ins and outs to make you feel right at home. During your stay, our team will be there for you if you have any questions or need help.

We, the Mak family, went on holiday to Boa Vista for the first time in 2014. We immediately fell in love; 6-hour flight from Amsterdam, almost no time difference, beautiful weather all year round, nice and hospitable people and we could enjoy kitesurfing. For us, the perfect island and that's why we decided to stay. In 2016, Bobbywashere was founded as a family business with a passion for hospitality, organising, kitesurfing and exotic places. Together with Celeste, Wanda, Olavo, Dusha, Calu and Kadi, we aim to give our guests an unforgettable holiday.
